Meet Alisa (uh-LEE-suh)

Born and raised in Coventry, Rhode Island, my roots run deep in this community. After completing my education at Emerson College in Boston, I ventured to Los Angeles to pursue a career in communications and marketing. However, after fifteen fulfilling years and a wealth of invaluable experiences, I felt the pull of home. I returned to Coventry with my family, driven by the desire for my daughter to grow up in a close-knit community surrounded by family.

For over two decades, I have navigated the dynamic landscape of marketing and communications, serving national and global corporations. My role demands a nuanced understanding of strategic initiatives, translating complex objectives into accessible plans for diverse audiences. I take pride in crafting and executing strategic campaigns that drive best-in-class organizational structure, including innovative solutions, fiscal responsibility, forging strategic partnerships, and adeptly resolving the toughest challenges—all while engaging and inspiring those around me.

  • Spearheaded internal communications aligning with organizational change management strategies, driving National Grid’s 30,000 employees to adopt digital transformation of the IoT grid-sensing devices.

  • Led the internal communications function for a transformative rebranding initiative at FM Global across 60 worldwide locations.

  • Led media and public relations for Corvias’ 15 US military installations, serving 87,000 service members and over 800 employees, resulting in a 42% increase in engagement and organizational reputation.

My career means a lot to me, but I realized I was missing something of substance in my life: giving back. Reflecting on the numerous contributions of Coventry's remarkable citizens throughout the years stirred within me a deep sense of duty and purpose. I am driven by the desire to commit myself to the betterment of Coventry, following in the footsteps of many dedicated residents who have shaped our town's legacy.

I recognize the weight of the issues before us and the responsibility that comes with public service. As Councilwoman for District 2, I pledge to collaborate closely with each of you, fostering an environment of respect, camaraderie, and shared vision. Together, we can tackle the challenges facing Coventry head-on, striving to create meaningful change that positively impacts the lives of District 2 residents and Coventry as a whole.
